TAP card

What I lost: TAP card (fare card for Metro bus and rail in the Los Angeles area).

When: Early this afternoon.

Last seen: When I tapped it on a reader at the North Hollywood Station.

Location: In one of the Red Line stations, on the subway, or maaaybe on Hollywood Boulevard but that's less likely.

Losses: $2 replacement fee plus $5 for each day pass until l receive the new card. Blech. [ETA: But this encourages biking all the way to work and back!]

How I can prevent this loss in the future: If I'm using my small wallet (as I was today), don't put cards in the back pocket without the zipper. The zipper pocket had cash in it, and I refused to have the two mingle because cash is a disgusting land of assorted germs and residue, so now I'm without my TAP card. Genius!
